I’m laying in my sleeping bag, listening to the sounds of nature. A special, ringing sound is heard when the ice floes are scraping against each other. Every so often, the bird singing is interrupted by a very distinct blow. We learn that it is the male grouse who are gathering out on the ice for their mating dance display.
